As a close partner of the NHS, we recognise our responsibility to reduce emissions and deliver high quality and sustainable care to our communities, minimising our environmental impact. We are committed to achieving this by embedding sustainability into our core values and thus, by definition, our services.

This Green Plan illustrates our sustainability goals and strategy for the next three years (2022-25), outlining steps we can take to reduce our emissions as laid out by the baselining exercise we have undertaken, and recommitting us to further action.

HUC’s vision in respect to sustainability is to be:

The organisation has also published a carbon reduction plan which provides a further update on our current emissions baseline as well as an overview on progress against actions identified in our Green Plan.
