This June, HUC proudly celebrated Pride, a yearly month-long celebration for the LGBTQ+ community. It’s a time for us to reflect on the progress we’ve made towards diversity and inclusion in society. We want to acknowledge the courageous individuals who have stood up for LGBTQ+ rights, paving the way for a more accepting world. However, Pride Month also reminds us that there is still work to be done to achieve full and genuine inclusion for all.
The Bright Bake-off
This week, we enjoyed the highlight of the month, the Bright Bake-off, where colleagues could bake or decorate cakes as brightly as possible, resulting in a fabulous display of colourful treats across our contact centres. These delicious treats not only brightened our colleagues’ day but also served as a sweet symbol of our commitment to inclusivity.
Throughout the month, colleagues also shared photos of pride events, symbols of pride and everyday examples of diversity and inclusivity. These celebrations showed that everyone is welcome and valued, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the colleagues who actively participated in and contributed to these successful Pride Month celebrations. Your enthusiasm and commitment play a vital role in fostering a workplace that embraces diversity and celebrates individuality.
