Collaborating with our local stakeholders
At HUC, we are committed to improving service provision and fostering collaboration with local health stakeholders to ensure we deliver on our mission; delivering high-quality and sustainable care at the right time. Today, we’re excited to share how our Teams recently joined forces to host Healthwatch Luton, offering insights into the inner workings of NHS 111.
Lara Galliford, Relationship Business Partner, along with Claire Wilderspin, Deputy Head of NHS 111, and Carol Norris, Luton and Bedfordshire Contact Centre Manager, warmly welcomed five colleagues from Healthwatch Luton. Their visit involved meeting our colleagues and enhancing their understanding of HUC’s service provision in the local area.
Claire Wilderspin said:
“It was a pleasure to welcome and engage with our community partners, Healthwatch Luton, to our Bedfordshire Contact Centre. Our colleagues took pride in showcasing not only our new premises but also the hard work, dedication, and passion invested in supporting patients within our local community.”
Healthwatch Luton also found the visit valuable, as Chair, Phil Turner, said, “A big thank you to everyone at HUC in Bedford for an excellent visit. You were all so kind and accommodating, it was a pleasure spending the time with you all. We enjoyed the visit and can see how dedicated and committed the team are to serving the public.
The professionalism and approach that all HUC colleagues have to providing help and guidance to callers shines through and we should all be grateful that such a service is available.
Thank you once again and I am sure we will be singing your praises when we can.”
