Alisha shares the details on her Adobe InDesign Course
At HUC, our dedication to our colleagues extends beyond the workplace. We are committed to fostering growth and improving skills, believing that an investment in our team is an investment in our collective success. A recent example of this commitment is Alisha Ali, our Marketing Coordinator and an invaluable member of the Communications Team, who recently attended a graphic design training specialising in Adobe InDesign.
Alisha tells us more about what the course involved and how it has helped her in her role:
What did your course entail?
The course I completed was a two-day intro course to Adobe InDesign which was led by a trained expert who guided us through the different elements within the design software. It was great to go through everything from a completely basic level as I had no previous experience using InDesign. We learnt how to create different types of documents and adjust and personalise InDesign’s interface to suit projects we work on at HUC.
How did your course benefit you?
“As I had no prior design experience, it has really helped develop my skills portfolio, particularly design work, which is hugely important in the Communications and Marketing Team. I feel I am now able to support the team in creating assets for different projects we are working on more confidently.”
Why do you think learning and development is good?
Learning and development play a crucial role in both personal and professional development. It allows you to improve and acquire new skills and knowledge, so you are better equipped and more adaptable to the team’s needs as well as the wider organisation.
How have HUC supported your learning and development?
HUC has supported my development by giving me the opportunity to undertake external training such as the InDesign course to support my new role.
