Healthwatch Luton visit our NHS 111 Contact Centre

Our Relationship Business Partner, Lara Galliford, continues to excel in fostering strong relationships with partners within the healthcare landscape. Recently, she hosted representatives from Healthwatch Luton at our NHS 111 Contact Centre in Bedford, showcasing the outstanding work of our integrated urgent care service.

Healthwatch is an independent champion for people who use health and social care services. Their mission is to understand what matters most to patients and ensure their voices shape the support they receive. Marina, Community Projects Officer, and Laurie, Signposting Officer and ICB Lead at Healthwatch Luton, visited our contact centre to understand how HUC provides an integrated urgent care service in Luton and Bedfordshire.

The visit was a success, with Marina and Laurie thoroughly impressed by the operations and professionalism of our team. Marina said, “Thank you so much for allowing Laurie and I to attend the NHS 111 call centre. I was totally amazed by the fantastic work that goes on there and the logistics of it all! It was a real ‘eye-opener.’ Your teams are doing amazing things with calmness and respect for the service user. We look forward to strengthening our continued working relationship in the future.”

Lara, who hosted Laurie and Marina, said, “It was wonderful to see some of the Healthwatch Luton team.
